The M©@®† studio is managed by Aron McCartney and is situated near the picturesque location of Barnard Castle, County Durham. The studio creates fine art & design work for clients in cast metals and glass.

Ceramic shell moulds and traditional sandcasting methods are used along with innovative techniques developed from extensive research to create work of intricate detail and high quality. Further information is available in the foundry section.

Metal / Bronze Casting Courses

McArt studio is currently running a set of Summer and Autumn courses.
The course introduces methods of casting bronze using the loss wax technique and ceramic shell moulds. Over a period of five and a half days methods are discussed and demonstrated to produce a bronze casting to patination finish if required.
